Year 7 Transition Project
A powerful transition project which aims to support Year 7 pupils to manage change, build relationships and make a positive contribution.
Useful and Kind Unlimited are committed to supporting young people. Through our ongoing work with primary schools and our successful summer schools for 16 – 21 year olds, we are supporting young people across the country to develop the values, skills and awareness that will lead to meaningful action. Action that will make the world a better place.
This project has been developed to support young people as they start their secondary education. This is a significant transition period for many. We believe that supporting young people to be more Self, Others and World aware can help individuals to manage change, build relationships and make a positive contribution.
Project aims
To support Y7 pupils as they transition from primary to secondary school, providing practical tools to help them to successfully manage this period of change and also increase their general awareness of useful and kind behaviours and leadership.
To help secondary schools to further develop their existing transition programmes by offering U&K tools, resources and a suggested pathway for working with pupils.
To guide school staff to think about how the curriculum can continue to support young people to develop the values, skills and awareness that will lead to meaningful action.
